The NBA 2011 Finals is getting hotter and hotter, I thought it wouldn't get this hot but what transpired in the first two games fueled the interest of basketball fans. Game 1 was won by the Heat, it was expected. Heat fans even expected the team to make a sweep. But a sweep will remain in the fantasy of Heat fans because game 2 was owned by the Mavericks despite the disadvantage that the team has (Dirk Nowitzki having an injury in game 1). Nowitzki made a somewhat dramatic layup in the last 3 seconds of the game that made the Mavericks win 95-93. It was a tight fight, the Mavs were trailing 15 points in the fourth quarter but they manage to even the score and win with Nowitzki's layup.

The Heat was probably over-confident in game 2 that is why they forgot how to make a good play. Dwane Wade played superbly in game 2 but he acted badly too. Wade showboated in front of the Mavs' bench which triggered some reactions from the Mavs. Of course Wade's act did not help the Heat win, it only fueled the Mavs' desire to win game 2.

Now, Miami Heat vs Dallas Mavericks NBA 2011 Finals Game 3 is hotly anticipated. We can not really predict the outcome of the game, the two teams must already have prepared something for the game. We will surely see a lot of surprises in this game.

Season 3 brings in the drama queen Shaunie O’Neal, who wants to avoid all the drama. Really? She wants to avoid the drama and the best place to be in that is away from all the drama is Miami. But I guess we will be in for more drama this time. These women live on drama and they just could not help but be in the middle of it all. Yeah, if you are a true UFC follower you remember well how Rampage Jackson said that he is not that interested in getting the championship title again. But the direction of the wind has changed now, he is talking something else, he is quite intense now about becoming the light heavyweight champion again. Yeah, but who is in the way? Of course the great fighter Matt Hamill. As far as Rampage is concerned, he needs to become champion again ang he needs to generate some income. This incoming fight with Matt Hamill is considered by Jackson as purely business, he needs income and he needs to be champion again.

But will Rampage get what he wants easily? I guess he will have a hard time doing it because Hamill is one good fighter that can handle the likes of Rampage. The fight will surely be a very exciting one, it will rock. But this is just between you and me, don't tell the world, I believe that Hamill will knock Rampage out of his senses in this fight. Macho Man Randy Savage died in a car crash in Seminole, Florida. According to celebrity gossip site TMZ, Savage's brother told them that Savage suffered a heart attack while he was driving his vehicle. The wrestler lost control of his 2009 Jeep Wrangler and crashed into a tree. Macho Man was rushed to Largo Medical center where he died later. Savage's wife was with him in the vehicle when the accident happened but she survived the crash with minor injuries.

It was obvious since the opening bell that Mosley is not really trusting himself against Pacquiao, he was very cautious since the beginning, he was not in his usual fighting style; he did not readily engage in exchanging of solid punches with Pacquioa. Many observed that it seems that Mosley is just intent in preserving his record of not having been knocked out by an opponent.

Pacquiao on the other hand wanted to push on, make Mosley engage him in a good fight but a mucle cramp in the leg in the 4th round prevented him from making a full assault of Mosley.

Mosley was always running away from Pacquiao; every time he receives a punch that hurts he gets away quickly so that he won't get more. But Pacquiao got him in the third round and landed a solid punch on his face that cause him to drop in a sitting position on the canvas, very stunned.

Despite the pressure Pacquiao gave Mosley through the whole game, Mosley managed to finish the 12 rounds without getting knocked out. In the last rounds of the match the audience were booing Mosley because they wanted to see more action and Mosley prevented real action by running away from Pacquiao all the time.

If the Lakers will lose in this third game it is tantamount to sealing their fate, the Lakers will be losers this season.

There will be no Lakers this year in the finals. According to Laker's star player Kobe Bryant they are not desperate, what they need is to just find a way how to relax. But of course that is a desperate attempt to hide how desperate the Lakers are by now. If they want to bounce back they must also look at what makes their defense weak. The Lakers must find a way to stop Dirk Nowitzki from doing whatever he likes. But it seems that the Lakers doesn't have a clue on what to do with Nowitzki.

Can we say that Miami Heat just got lucky on Sunday that is why they were able to pull the 99-90 win over the Celtics? I guess it was just luck, there are days when a player just suddenly performs many folds better than his usual way of performing and added to that is the way things go around him seems to be in harmony of his being fortunate that day. Another thing that cause Heat's win on Sunday was James Jones who scored 25 point. But as I say, it was just Heat's day, Wade's day and Paul Pierce's bad day, a better day will come to the Celtics on May 3. Okay, it is obvious that I am a Celtics fan. UFC 127: Penn vs. Fitch will take place in Acer Arena in Sydney, Australia thirteen hours from now. Of course every UFC fan would not like to miss the chance to see their favorite MMA fighters battle it out on the octagon. UFC 127 is the second time for a UFC event to be held in Australia. The first UFC event to happen in Australia was the sold-out UFC 110 in 2010.

The main event is expected to be a tough battle; this is B.J. Penn's chance to redeem himself but Jon Fitch is also hoping to continue his winning streak. Penn has a record of 16-7-1 MMA and 12-6-1 in UFC. In the last 6 years Penn never had a win in a welterweight fight. On the other hand Jon Fitch has won his last 5 fights and now has record of 23-3 in MMA and 13-1 in UFC.

You see the big difference between the two fighters in the main event and most of you might think that Jon Fitch has the edge but we can not really say what happenes thirteen hours from now.

Space shuttle launch is scheduled this afternoon at around 4:50 p.m. (US time). A 3-hour process of fueling the space shuttle "Discovery" started 7:25 am earlier to prepare the launch.

There will be about 50,000 people who will present to watch it take off. Although for us who can't come could watch it online later.

This will be Discovery's last flight before it is retired by NASA. There will be a final inspection team that will thoroughly check the shuttle today to ensure there is no presence of ice and no particular problems prior to the launch.

Feast of Lupercalia

Historians trace the origin of Valentine's Day to ancient Roman Empire. It is said that in the Rome of ancient times people observed a holiday on February 14th to honor Juno - the Queen of Roman Gods and Goddesses. The Romans also regarded Juno as the Goddess of Women and Marriage. On the following day, February 15th began the fertility festival called 'Feast of Lupercalia'. The festival of Lupercalia was celebrated to honor the Gods Lupercus and Faunus - the Roman God of Agriculture besides the legendary founders of Rome, Romulus and Remus. An interesting custom was followed in the Feast of Lupercalia to bring together young boys and girls who otherwise were strictly separated. On the eve of the festival names of young Roman girls were written on a slip of paper and placed into jars. Each young man drew out a girl's name from the jar and was paired with the girl for the duration of Lupercalia. Sometime pairing lasted for a year until next year's celebration. Quite often, the couple would fall in love with each other and later marry. The custom lasted for a long time until people felt that the custom was un-Christian and that mates should be chosen by sight, not luck.

4-year-old California boy named Juliani Cardenas who is missing since January 18 was found dead by a utility worker inside the Delta-Mendota Canal in Stanislaus County. Same place where the car used for his abduction was found a few days ago.

Juliani reportedly had been snatched from his grandmother’s arms by his mom’s boyfriend, Jose Esteban Rodriguez. Juliani’s mom Tabitha Cardenas is 8 1/2 months pregnant with Rodriquez’s baby had broke up.

The 27-year-old suspect has yet to be found, there are speculations that he too could be dead and is in the canal as well.

Milwaukee Blizzard has started it's fair share of snow and it is said that the worst is yet to come. About 15 to 16 inches of snow is to be expected and with this amount of snow fall makes it one of the biggest in recent history.

Forecasters say that late Tuesday into early Wednesday the storm will probably be at its peak, together with gusting winds up to 50MPH. “Visibility will drop to almost nothing. Roads could get impassible drifts,” stated Weather Service meteorologist Jake Wimberley. Starting up at 11:00PM, the city of Milwaukee will declare a snow emergency and crews will be out all evening hoping to clear roads as quickly as possible.

According to a source who told US Weekly, the pregnancy was somewhat accidental, the couple did not plan it but they are "embracing it" and are quite happy with it. Emily Giffin, the author of "Something Borrowed" also confirmed the pregnancy through a tweet today, she said: "Yep, it's true! Congrats to Kate Hudson! She and Matt Bellamy are expecting a baby ... just in time for Something Blue!"

Kate is starring in the upcoming film adaptation, of "Something Borrowed" as well as its follow-up "Something Blue."

A few days ago, a video of a homeless man with a golden voice hit the web. The video was posted on Youtube and of course it got viral immediately. The homeless man's name is Ted Williams, in the video he looks like an average homeless man, but when he stared to talk it becomes evident that he has a golden voice.

Because of the video, Ted Williams is now scheduled to appear on Columbus' 'The Morning Zoo' radio show. What's even better is that there are people who are working to jump start Williams' career, people have donated money so that the homeless man with a golden voice a cell phone, a business suit and a website.

A regular school board meeting in a Florida school on Tuesday turned tragic when a gunman barged into the room and later fired shots at the board members and then shot his own head that caused his death. Here is the school board shooting full video:

The whole event was recorded in a video because board meetings in the Bay District School are regularly recorded. The gunman is identified as Clay Duke, an ex-convict. He came into the room to interrupt the meeting. He was complaining about his wife being fired by the school, he wanted to know the real reason. He later shot at the board members (but missed them all). A security guard came and shot Duke in the leg, Duke then shot himself in the head.

The person who killed John Lennon 30 years ago would like to get out of jail. Mark David Chapman is now up for parole for the sixth time. His first attempt at parole was in 2000 then again in 2002. He again attempted in 2004,2006,and 2008. He was denied parole in those time because of concerns about the safety of the public. Yoko Ono also made sure that Chapman stays in jail.

Chapman shot and killed John Lennon on December 8, 1980 outside the ex-Beatle's New York apartment. Lennon was shot four times in the back. Chapman did not run away after the killing, he waited for the police to arrive and arrest him in the crime scene. He was sentenced to 20 years to life in prison.

Now, he is scheduled to be interviewed by members of the parole board on August 9 and many people expressed their disapproval of the possibility that Chapman being allowed to walk the streets again. Many are afraid that he'll kill again or he'll be killed by some Lennon fan.

Gary Coleman Deathbed Photo

The Gary Coleman deathbed photo that is on the cover of the latest issue of Globe magazine has stirred a lot of controversy; many people think that it is inappropriate to publish such photo and it is not good to make money out of Coleman's death. There are rumors that the photo of Coleman in his deathbed was bought by Globe from an unidentified source for $10,000. There is no evidence that this is really the price but Globe has stated that they bought the image but they refused to name the person who sold it to them. Of course the public suspects no one but Coleman's ex-wife, Shannon Price, who is also in the picture. According to E!Online, Price's rep reluctantly admitted that her client took the photos but insisted "they were never meant to get out."

Coleman's co-star in "Diff'rent Strokes" Todd Bridges is very much disturbed by the image. here is his statement about the photos of Coleman on Globe's cover:

"It's horrible. It's absolutely horrible, and I hope that whoever is responsible for this, and the people that are involved in this, people that are in the pictures, I hope they burn in hell.

You shouldn't have been taking pictures -- period -- of him in that situation. By doing something like that, you're disgusting. You have joined the leagues of as many sick people in the world that do sick things. … Having your face in those photos, with someone who is in that position, and with someone you say you love, obviously you don't love them, because why would you do that? Why would you allow yourself to be put in there and then you say you're not profiting from it? Well, somebody's getting that blood money. Somebody's getting it."

Is it appropriate for a 3-year-old to act like Lady Gaga? I don't have anything against Lady Gaga, she is a very talented artist but I really think that she is for adults only and not for 3-year-olds to copy. There is a video that is going viral now, it is called the Baby Gaga Video. And guess who stars in it? It's a 3-year-old girl who dresses and dances and acts and wears heavy makeup like Lady Gaga. The mother of the 3 year old says that the video is just for fun and never intended to go viral. Here is how she states it to San Diego Entertainer:

According to Heidi Ladrow, mother of 3-year-old Baby Gaga, the video
was supposed “to be outrageous because Lady Gaga’s videos are
outrageous.” She emphasizes on The Early Show that the video was made solely for fun, not as an attempt to get her daughter famous.

“This was a little project we put together as a spoof, as fun for
our friends and family. I had no idea this was going to get as large as
it was,” Heidi Ladrow explains.

The reactions of those who saw the video on Youtube are mixed, many liked it but there are also those who did not like it. Here are some of the comments.

Mortal Kombat Rebirth

There is a new video clip in Youtube that shows something that would make any Mortal Kombat fan's heart beat faster; the Mortal Kombat Rebirth teaser. Although no one is really sure if this eight minute teaser trailer is for a new Mortal Kombat movie or game it is enough to stir the interest of Mortal Kombat fans. The clip shows a lot of action and most of the scenes take place in the Deacon City Police Department interrogation room where Jax (played by Michael Jai White) is shown making a deal with a prisoner whose identity is not revealed because he is hidden in the shadows.

Is this teaser trailer a sign that something big is coming up for Mortal Kombat fans? In the next few days we will know the answer, as of now we just have to be satisfied with what the trailer gives us. here is the 8-minute video clip:

After a terrible loss to Manny Pacquiao, Miguel Cotto is back on the game and has showed that he still got it by being able to beat Yuri Foreman for the WBA Super Welterweight Championship belt. As you can see, Cotto was once a 3-time world champion and he's now out to bring up his name again. Cotto gave Foreman a lot of pressure early on the fight, he immediately showed Foreman what a former 3-time world champion can do. Foreman suffered a couple of falls on the seventh round that looked like they were slips but Cotto made use of it to make the kill in the eight round where Foreman's corner threw the towel.

Justin Bieber arrested? It is true that cops picked Justin Bieber up but it could hardly be called an "arrest." It is all about a minor sneaking out of the house in the middle of the night to bike around the neighborhood with a friend. The cops on patrol spotted the two minors (there is a curfew in the area) so it is only natural for the cops to pick them up and return them to their worried parents.

Here is Justin Bieber's side of the story as told by him to Top of Pops magazine:

“I snuck out once. My friend slept over and we were like, ‘Let’s go out.’ We just went biking and were being stupid but we weren’t doing anything bad. But the police saw us and brought me back home, because there was a curfew on the area! It was two in the morning and I got grounded for a month! That’s the worse trouble I’ve ever been in.”

Okay girls (and boys) don't worry about Justin Bieber, he's perfectly safe now, though he's grounded for a month.

Shrek Glass Recall. The Shrek glasses sold at McDonald's were a hit like the movie but there is something wrong with those glasses: dangerous metal called cadmium has been discovered in those glasses so if you happen to have bought one, do not use it. Cadium can have bad effects on health if a person is exposed to it for a long period of time. This is the reason why McDonald's is recalling the 12 million Shrek glasses it has sold. But according to McDonalds although traces of cadium is found in the Shrek glasses, it is still safe to use but "out of an abundance of caution" they have decided to recall all the 12 million glasses.

This will surely affect McDonald's a lot, but it is good that they make the recall. McDonald's USA spokesman Bill Whitman said:

"We believe the 'Shrek' glassware is safe for consumer use, however, again to ensure that our customers receive safe products from us, we made the decision to stop selling them and voluntarily recall these products effective immediately."

Don't think about ghosts or a haunted house because this post is not about ghosts. I know that many of you are not familiar with the ghost chair. The ghost chair is not something that ghosts sit on, it got that kind of name because of how it looks and the kind of material it is made of. A ghost chair is a normal chair except that it is translucent. It is made of material that is see through, almost like glass. Ghost chairs are made of transparent polycarbonate and they look as if they are made of glass. Here is an image of ghost chairs:

Ghost chairs have become popular, it is slowly becoming ubiquitous, you can see it anywhere, mostly in children's rooms because children love the idea of having a translucent chair, of having a ghost chair. Philippe Starck is the designer of the Louis ghost chair which is made in transparent polycarbonate for Kartell. The Lou Lou Ghost Chair is a smaller version of the ghost chair and it is called Lou Lou Ghost Chair which is sold at $133.

Gary Coleman Dead. The actor who was loved by thousands of fans because of his childhood role as Arnold Jackson in the 70's sitcom Diff'rent Strokes has died Friday in a Utah hospital after suffering from intercranial hemorrhage. Here is an account from The Huffigton Post about how Gary Coleman died:

Gary Coleman is dead. He was taken off life support on Friday morning and passed away, both TMZ and Radaronline.com first reported. His wife Shannon Price and her father were at the hospital.

Coleman died Friday at 12:05 PM MDT.

Coleman, 42, was best known for his role as Arnold Jackson on "Diff'rent Strokes." Word got out that he was hospitalized Thursday and in critical condition.

The Julie Bowen breast feeding images have stirred different reactions from those who have seen it; some shows, like The View, did not even show the images. Julie Bowen stars the hit comedy series Modern Family. She has twins who she breast feeds together and she showed the picture of how the twins feeds. Here is a little about it from Forbes:

Bowen used her appearance on George Lopez Tonight to poke fun at herself and described nursing her twins as a great way to lose weight, calling her twins "two liposuction machines" that "suck it all out, the fat."

Now there are stirrings that Bowen and Lopez should not have shown the picture. Another talk show, The View, apparently refused to air the same photo. A Fox news blogger asked in a survey if: "These are private shots that should be kept as such"? (The counterpoint from Bonnie Fuller is here.) So the media filter has reduced the important act of breast-feeding to either an inappropriate form of exhibitionism or a weight-loss technique.

Here is the Shrek Forever After trailer, Disney-Pixar creation. This is the final Shrek, no more to follow so you need to see this movie if you are a true Shrek fan. The reviews to this latest installment of Shrek are not that kind, here are some of those not-so-kind reviews:

After the frantic spurt of fairy-tale allusions and jokes in the first three Shreks, this one inches along with a few mostly pointless action scenes and the occasional mild pun. The 3-D effects look terrific, but I’ve seen Keebler Elf commercials with more story line.
